The 2025 Grand Cherokee is a performance vehicle with some nice options for those who are looking for adventure, day-to-day driving with the family, or something in between. Choose from the two-row or three-row design option, depending on if you want more cargo or seating. Then, pick the engine type that is right for you. That includes this year’s plug-in hybrid 4ex for those looking for a better-for-the-environment option. The 3.6L V6 engine on board the 2025 Grand Cherokee produces power at 293 horsepower but maintains sleek handling and easy overall performance.
While the Grand Cherokee is a fun car to drive, it’s also capable of being a workhorse. With the ability to tow up to 6,200 pounds, you can bring with you a trailer or small boat with ease. That’s best-in-class towing. You also can select three advanced available 4x4 systems, which allow you to have more control over the ground under you, including the Quadra-Trac 1, Quadra-Trac II, or Quadra-Drive II, with rear electronic limited-slip differential. This, along with the Select Terrain Traction Management System, gives you ultimate control and performance no matter the surface.
Hard-working does not get in the way of a posh interior design. The 2025 Grand Cherokee features several interior design options based on the trim selected. Some of the best features include a quilted leather upholstery layout with open-poor wood detailing on the upper trims. The lower trims are meant to be both durable and attractive as well.
Even if you select the two-row Cherokee, you’ll have ample room for up to five adults. That includes best-in-class second-row legroom and great shoulder room overall. The interior in all trims is meant to create a calm space with excellent technology, available multicolor ambient LED lighting, and power-folding third-row bench seats.
The exterior of the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee does not disappoint with some minor upgrades this year. That includes available 21-inch polished aluminum wheels, a black roof option, and several upgradable features. The two-tone color of this vehicle helps give it a more refined look.
There are several key upgrades to the functions of this vehicle, including LED headlamps, taillamps, and available fog lamps to improve viability.
The enhanced interior is full of tech upgrades. That starts with the standard 8.4-inch infotainment system or the upgraded 10.1-inch touchscreen system. There’s an in-dash navigation system that gets you where you need to go with confidence. What’s really nice is that some of the higher trims offer an available 10.3-inch display tucked into the dashboard for the front-seat passenger, just in case they need to see something different than you. The head-up display is a massive 10 inches and offers a customizable layout on the upper trims.
When it comes to technology, it is hard to overlook the huge range of driver assist features, including standard options such as automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection and lane-keeping assist. You can also get the Hands-Free Active Driving Assist System from Jeep. It’s only available on the Summit and Overland trims, but it gives you, just as it says, hands-free driving at its best.
The Laredo A provides a spacious design, ample cargo space for all of your family’s gear, and a fun-to-drive feel. Good handling is a hallmark of the Grand Cherokee.
Onboard features include compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with numerous standard safety features.
The 3.6L V6 24 V VVT Engine with ESS is standard on this vehicle, as is the 8-speed automatic 8HP50 Transmission. There are few upgradable options on the Laredo A, but as a base model, it’s an excellent choice overall.
The next step up offers some advanced features, including adaptive cruise control and the Uconnect 5 with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display.
With the Laredo, you can also add in several package options, including a Luxury Tech Group 1 package with an aux power outlet, heated front seats and power liftgate, and remote start system or the Finishing Package by Mopar, if you’re after an impressive paint job.
The Laredo X maintains the same overall features as the previous models but enhances the luxury. That includes providing you with options like 18-inch Fine Silver aluminum wheels along with all-season LRR tires.
Consider adding the Trailer-Tow Package for added options, including a 180-amp alternator and trailer-hitch zoom features. It maintains the same engine as the other Laredo options but is certainly more luxurious.
The Altitude is a nicely appointed vehicle with some classy interior looks, including black leather-trimmed seating and black glass accents on the exterior. You also get 18-inch gloss black painted aluminum wheels or 20-inch upgrades.
The Altitude adds touches of class but maintains the same powertrain. You also have both the Trailer Tow Package and Finishing Package by Mopar available to add if you like.
Take it one step further for the Altitude X, and you’ll get a few nice enhancements, like a single-pane sunroom. It offers side steps and running boards to enhance your climb into this vehicle.
Also notable are the safety features such as Forward Collision Warning. You can choose optional rain-sensitive windshield wipers and a wireless charging pad as well.
With the Limited, you get a tech boost, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen with the Uconnect 5 infotainment system. The layout and image quality here are excellent. The nine amplified speakers and subwoofer here make this a solid choice. You can further enhance your experience with the upgraded dual-pane panoramic sunroof as well.
With more refined options in exterior features, such as 18-inch polished and painted aluminum wheels as standard, or upgrade options to 20-inch either gloss black or polished and painted wheels, you can have the look you desire. More interior color options are available with Capri Leatherette seats.
The Overland offers the Quadra-Lift Air Suspension system to improve drive quality. Other upgrades include Nappa Leather Seats and access to the Hands-Free Active Driving Assist System.
This model also introduces the Advanced ProTech Group III package, which includes a surround-view camera system, map-in-cluster display, and head-up display, among many other upgrades.
With the Summit, you get the power you need to pull and tow with ease. Start with the performance all-season tires, and then add in the High Altitude Package, which gives you 21-inch black painted aluminum wheels and painted door cladding for an enhanced group. The Advanced ProTech Group IV package adds in more technology as well including night vision.
With a Class IV trailer hitch with seven or four-pin connectors, you can get on the road in no time. The interior is sleek and the two-tone paint is attractive.
The final option is the melding of performance and luxury in the Summit Reserve. Two-tone exterior colors, with additional options including monotone paint, as well as upgraded Palermo leather seats inside, enhance the look and luxury of this vehicle.
The more luxurious interior also features ventilated second-row seats and a 19-speaker McIntosh sound system if you are really looking for performance.
