2027 Dodge Charger

What's New, Trims, Specs & Features

The 2027 Dodge Charger adds more than 25 new factory customization options and a native NACS charging port on the Daytona. The SIXPACK R/T gains 50 hp over the outgoing 5.7L HEMI, making it the highest standard-horsepower muscle car available. This page covers every trim, spec, and new feature, with current inventory available at Champion CDJR of Gulfport.

What's New for 2027

The headline update for 2027 is a significant expansion of factory personalization. Dodge added more than 25 new customization options directly from the factory, so buyers can build a distinctly personal Charger without leaving the production line.

New Purple Haze exterior color. Arriving as a limited-run, 2027-exclusive shade, Purple Haze is the first-ever purple exterior offered on a Dodge. The high-gloss clearcoat shifts visually in sunlight and deepens to a rich purple in shade. It joins Bludicrous, Diamond Black, Green Machine, Redeye, Triple Nickel, and the existing palette as a direct nod to Dodge's "High Impact" heritage colors from the early 1970s. Purple Haze is available across the full 2027 Charger lineup and is open for orders now.

Native NACS charging port on the Daytona Scat Pack. The 2027 Charger Daytona is the first Stellantis model to launch with a NACS port standard, giving owners direct access to Tesla Supercharger stations and 29,000-plus additional chargers without carrying an adapter.

New interior and exterior options across the lineup:

  1. Petrol Blue performance leather seats with Digital Slash perforation and red stitching (Scat Pack)
  2. Demonic Red seat belts available across all trims
  3. Satin Black painted hood for SIXPACK-powered R/T and Scat Pack models
  4. Orange and black Brembo brake caliper options (late availability)
  5. Expanded Mopar factory graphics, including bodyside "Charger" blade stripes, strobe stripes, and dual stripes in Gloss Red, Satin White, and Satin Black

The 2027 Charger also carries forward the 2026 North American Car of the Year title, a recognition earned in its first full model year.

Performance & Powertrain

The 2027 Charger lineup runs three distinct output levels across two energy types.

SIXPACK R/T (Standard Output)

The 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six produces 420 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque. Full torque arrives at 2,500 rpm. The car runs 0-60 in 4.6 seconds and covers the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds at 107 mph. Top speed is 127 mph. Fuel economy rates at 17 city / 26 hwy / 20 combined on regular 87-octane, though Dodge recommends 91-octane for maximum output.

SIXPACK H.O. Scat Pack

The high-output version of the same 3.0L block pushes to 550 hp and 531 lb-ft. Twin 54mm Garrett GT2054 turbos spin to 185,000 rpm and deliver up to 30 psi of boost, sustaining over 90% of torque from 3,000 to 6,000 rpm. The Scat Pack reaches 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and runs the quarter-mile in 12.2 seconds at 114 mph. Top speed is 177 mph. Premium 91-octane fuel is required. EPA fuel economy rates at 16 city / 23 hwy / 19 combined.

Daytona Scat Pack (Electric)

The Daytona runs dual permanent magnet synchronous motors producing 630 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque in standard form. Activating PowerShot adds 40 hp for 10 seconds, pushing peak output to 670 hp. The 100.5 kWh battery (93.9 kWh usable) delivers up to 267 miles of EPA-rated range. The 0-60 time is 3.3 seconds; the quarter-mile runs in 11.5 seconds. With a 350 kW DC fast charger, the battery charges from 5% to 80% in 32.5 minutes. The new NACS port allows direct connection to Tesla Supercharger stations.

Both SIXPACK models use the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic, standard AWD, and a selectable RWD mode that routes 100% of torque to the rear wheels on demand.

All three powertrain configurations share standard AWD and are available in two-door or four-door body styles.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

The Charger's interior structure is consistent across the SIXPACK and Daytona lineups. Front passengers get 39.1 inches of headroom and 42.6 inches of legroom. Rear passengers have 36.9 inches of headroom and 37.2 inches of legroom. The car seats five.

Cargo capacity behind the second row is 22.7 cubic feet, expanding to 38.5 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. That figure represents a 38% increase over the previous Charger generation and 127% more cargo space with the seats down.

Base R/T interiors use black cloth. The R/T Plus moves to black vinyl with available leather/suede performance seats through the Performance Handling Group. The Scat Pack starts with cloth and leatherette, while the Scat Pack Plus opens access to high-back leather, the Demonic Red leather option, Petrol Blue performance leather (new for 2027), and the Carbon & Suede Package with suede/Nappa leather seating. The Daytona Scat Pack starts with black cloth and leatherette; the Plus trim moves to high-back leather with ventilated fronts.

Fold-flat rear seats are standard on every trim. Every model also includes a leather-wrapped shift knob, physical climate buttons with independent driver and passenger control, and a driver and passenger illuminated vanity mirror.

Technology and Infotainment

Every 2027 Charger runs Uconnect 5 on a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-phone Bluetooth connectivity, SiriusXM Radio (trial included), two front USB-C ports, two rear USB-C ports, personalized driver profiles, and Drive Mode Pages.

The base R/T pairs the 12.3-inch screen with a 10.25-inch freestanding digital instrument cluster and a six-speaker audio system. The Plus trims on both SIXPACK variants and the standard Daytona Scat Pack step up to the 16-inch freestanding cluster. Plus trims add TomTom integrated navigation, Head-up Display, Amazon Alexa, 64-color Attitude Adjustment ambient lighting, and wireless phone charging. The nine-speaker Alpine audio with subwoofer is standard on R/T Plus and all Daytona trims; the optional 18-speaker Alpine Premium system with 914-watt amplifier is available on Plus trims across the lineup.

The Daytona Scat Pack adds EV Performance Pages, a PowerShot indicator, and a Dodge G-meter to the 16-inch cluster as standard items on all Daytona trims.

Who It's For / vs the Prior Year

The 2027 Charger is the right choice for buyers who found the 2026 launch lineup compelling but wanted more ways to personalize from the factory. The 25-plus new options, including Petrol Blue seats, Demonic Red belts, the Satin Black painted hood, and new Mopar stripe packages, give shoppers in Gulfport a much wider configuration range without going aftermarket.

Buyers upgrading from a HEMI-powered Charger will notice the performance gap immediately. The SIXPACK R/T delivers 50 more hp and 73 more lb-ft than the outgoing 5.7L HEMI R/T, while the SIXPACK H.O. Scat Pack gains 65 hp and 56 lb-ft over the old 6.4L Scat Pack.

For buyers who want the electric Daytona, the 2027 model's native NACS port removes the most significant practical barrier by providing direct access to the Tesla Supercharger network without an adapter.

The Charger is also the world's only four-door muscle car, which matters for buyers who want performance but need rear-seat practicality. Both body styles carry the same powertrain options and the same performance numbers.
