2027 Ram 1500: What's New, Trims, Specs & the Return of the TRX SRT
The 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT delivers 777 horsepower from a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8, setting a new record as the most powerful production gas half-ton pickup ever built. That figure eclipses the nearest competitor by 57 horsepower, and the Rumble Bee muscle truck family is an entirely new addition to the Ram 1500 lineup for 2027. This page covers every major change, all trim levels, powertrain choices, and capability numbers, with links to current inventory at Champion CDJR of Gulfport.
What's New for 2027
The headlining story for 2027 is the return of the TRX, now wearing an SRT badge for the first time in Ram history. The 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 has been reengineered with a revised valvetrain, smaller supercharger pulley, and increased fuel pressure to push output from the previous 702 horsepower up to 777 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque. A new dual-path induction system improves airflow by 13 percent over the last-generation TRX. Standard Launch Control gets TRX SRT to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
Alongside TRX, Ram launches the all-new Rumble Bee lineup, the segment's first dedicated muscle truck family. Four variants cover three HEMI V8 powertrains: the Rumble Bee (395 hp, 5.7L HEMI V8), Rumble Bee 392 (470 hp, 6.4L HEMI V8), Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack, and Rumble Bee SRT (777 hp, 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8). The Rumble Bee SRT targets a top speed of 170 mph and a quarter-mile time of 11.6 seconds at 116 mph. All Rumble Bee models use an exclusive Quad Cab, 5-foot 7-inch, widebody configuration with a 13-inch shorter wheelbase than a standard Ram 1500 for reduced frame flex and a wider 88-inch stance.
Additional 2027 changes include:
- The 360-degree Surround View Camera is now standard on Limited, Limited Longhorn, and RHO, and newly optional on Laramie and Rebel with Level 1 equipment.
- Big Horn Crew Cab with Level 2 Equipment Group adds passive entry.
- Laramie adds standard rain-sensing wipers.
- The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 eTorque gains available 2-kilowatt onboard power with two 120-volt outlets in the pickup bed.
- RHO gains a new Popular Equipment Group (14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen and 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio) and a reimagined tailgate badge with a rhino head motif.
- New colors include Goldilocks Pearl-Coat (late availability) and the return of Flame Red Clear-Coat (late availability), with expanded availability of Tank Clear-Coat.
- Tradesman, Black Express, Warlock, and Rebel receive a new Satin Black Symbol of Protest fender badge.

Trim Lineup
The 2027 Ram 1500 organizes its trims across four categories.
Core Trims
Core trims cover daily work and family use. The Tradesman is the fleet-ready foundation. The Express and Black Express add appearance content. The Big Horn (sold as Lone Star in Texas) steps up comfort with available heated front seats, an 8-way power driver seat, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system in the Level 1 Equipment Group. The Laramie adds rain-sensing wipers as standard for 2027 and builds on Big Horn with premium cloth and more available technology.
Premium Trims
These trims include the Limited and Limited Longhorn, both now offering a RamBox delete option for buyers who need maximum bed width. The Tungsten sits at the top of the luxury stack, with a 10.25-inch front passenger interactive display and a 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system as standard.
Off-Road Trims
These trims address terrain capability at multiple price points. The Warlock offers a value-focused entry into Ram's off-road family and now adds a Pentastar V6 eTorque option. The Rebel combines off-road hardware with interior refinement. The RHO sits at the off-road summit of the non-SRT lineup, using the 540-hp Hurricane HO twin-turbo I6, Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shocks, Ram Active Terrain Dynamics, and standard Hands-free Active Drive Assist (Level 2+). The TRX SRT returns as the peak off-road performer with 777 horsepower and 11.8 inches of ground clearance.

Muscle Truck Trims
These are entirely new for 2027. The Rumble Bee, Rumble Bee 392, Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack, and Rumble Bee SRT form Ram's first dedicated performance truck family, each using widebody Quad Cab short-bed proportions and HEMI V8 power.
Performance & Powertrain
The 2027 Ram 1500 offers seven distinct powertrain configurations.
All engines pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Drivetrain options are RWD or 4WD depending on trim.
Interior, Comfort & Cargo
The Ram 1500 Crew Cab seats five with best-in-class rear legroom of 44.8 inches on Limited and TRX SRT trim levels. Rear seats on those trims also recline, a class-exclusive feature. The Quad Cab seats the same number but with 35.3 inches of rear legroom.
Front headroom measures 40.9 inches and front legroom measures 40.9 inches across both cab styles. The five-link coil rear suspension delivers a composed ride, and the available four-corner air suspension adjusts ride height automatically based on load, speed, and off-road conditions.
Cargo box options include a 5-foot 7-inch box (Crew and Quad Cab) or a 6-foot 4-inch box (Crew and Quad Cab standard configs). The Rumble Bee uses an exclusive 5-foot 7-inch Quad Cab short-bed combination only.
The Tungsten adds a 10.25-inch front passenger interactive display and 23-speaker Klipsch audio as standard. TRX SRT gains, for the first time, a leather-wrapped airbag cover with red stitching, a full suede headliner, and suede-wrapped visors. Heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats come standard on TRX SRT.

Technology & Infotainment

The 2027 Ram 1500 offers over 50 inches of combined available digital displays across the lineup.
The base Uconnect system uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Big Horn with the Level 2 Equipment Group steps up to a 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 NAV touchscreen, the largest in the class, is available on RHO and standard on TRX SRT. The Uconnect 5 platform operates five times faster than the previous generation with touchscreen response times as quick as 0.05 seconds.
The TRX SRT adds a standard 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10-inch full-color Head-up Display. The Tungsten provides a 10.25-inch front passenger interactive display as standard.
Audio options scale from a base 6-speaker system up to the 19-speaker Harman Kardon system (standard on TRX SRT, available on RHO) and the 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere system (standard on Tungsten). Class-exclusive dual wireless charging pads are standard on TRX SRT and available on select other trims. An available 2-kilowatt on-board power inverter with two 120-volt bed outlets is new for 2027 on Pentastar V6 eTorque models.
Safety & Driver Assistance
The 2027 Ram 1500 includes more than 100 standard and available safety and security features across the lineup.
Standard on every trim: Active Lane Management, adaptive cruise control, Blind-spot Monitoring with trailer coverage, Rear Cross Path detection, and ParkSense front and rear park assist with automatic reverse stop.
Standard on TRX SRT and RHO, and available on other trims via packages: Hands-free Active Drive Assist (Level 2+), Drowsy Driver Detection, Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and the 10-inch Head-up Display. Ram is the only truck manufacturer to offer Level 2+ hands-free capability on high-performance, off-road, gas pickup trucks.
The 360-degree Surround View Camera is standard on Limited, Limited Longhorn, and RHO for 2027. It is newly optional on Laramie and Rebel.
The Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack and Rumble Bee SRT add six-piston Brembo front brake calipers with 16.1-inch rotors. TRX SRT uses second-generation Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shocks with dual electronic proportional valves, nitrogen-charged remote reservoirs, and Ram Active Terrain Dynamics suspension management.

Who It's For and How It Differs from the Prior Year
The 2027 Ram 1500 is the right choice for buyers who want the broadest range of powertrain options in the half-ton segment, from a capable 305-hp V6 all the way to a 777-hp supercharged V8. Compared to the 2026 model, the 2027 truck adds the Rumble Bee muscle truck family as a fully new product category and returns the TRX with meaningfully higher output (up from 702 hp to 777 hp). Buyers who tow heavy loads benefit from the 11,530-lb max towing figure available with the Hurricane SO engine, unchanged from the prior year but now paired with additional tech across more trims. Convenience improvements like standard passive entry on Big Horn Level 2, standard rain-sensing wipers on Laramie, and expanded 360-degree camera availability make the mid-range trims a stronger daily-use choice than before.
If you already own a 2026 and tow primarily, the Tradesman or Big Horn with the Hurricane SO is still your best value path. If you want the performance story that the 2026 simply could not offer, the Rumble Bee lineup and the returning TRX SRT are the reason to buy a 2027.
